Guess it depends on how much you value comfort and being able to focus on the bike and road conitions and trying to find a spot that doesn't hurt, I went with the AirHawk and it is worth it to me. Just finished some 8 hr days and was ready to go the next morning, slightly sore at the end of the day but haven't raised the front of the saddle. The AH pad changed my hurt time from 35 minutes to hours. Max
